Pere Torres Grau holds a Degree in Science from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Between 1991 and 1993, he was the Secretary of the Inter-University Council of Catalonia. In 1995, he became the General Director of Environmental Planning of the Government of Catalonia, holding such office until 2000. Soon afterwards, he became the Secretary of Regional Planning of the Government of Catalonia, a post he occupied between 2001 and 2003. He then went on to serve as Assistant Director of the International Institute of Governability, between 2004 and 2005. Later, he became the Technical Advisor of the Institut Cerdà, a private foundation, where he served between 2006 and 2012. Between 2013 and 2015, he served as Secretary of Business and Competitiveness of the Government of Catalonia. Today, Pere Torres is the General Director of the Metropolitan Transport Authority.
